All funds raised will support YMCA Brighton’s vital work: providing secure accommodation and tailored one-to-one support for over 450 adults every year who are facing homelessness, domestic violence, addiction, mental health crises, or unemployment in the city.

Jeremy Cunningham from The Levellers added, “The Levellers have always been a politically active band, and we’ve made it a priority to support grassroots groups making a difference in their communities. It’s in that same spirit that I’m offering my artwork item to the silent auction being run by YMCA Brighton during their comedy night ‘Raising the Roof’ . My item is a one-off original lino cut print I created back in 1989 for one of The Levellers’ early shows at the legendary Club Savannah. The piece is a unique test print, A2 artwork on an A1 paper roll, made with industry-standard materials, and it’s numbered, dated, and signed by me. Good luck with the event – I hope it raises plenty of money for such a great cause!”

Helene Begg, CEO of YMCA Brighton said  “This isn’t just an auction because every bid helps us support more people in Brighton who are rebuilding their lives after crisis. This can happen to anyone from losing a job to getting behind with rent payments and losing their home. We know times are tough, but if people can support this event and if possible our silent auction it will mean so much to us. A huge thank you to every compassionate business and artist who has contributed to our auction .’
