Thurs 22 May (8pm)

Ironworks Studios, Brighton

Fri 23 May (8pm)

Ropetackle, Shoreham

The Treason Show is Brighton’s award-winning, record-breaking, satirical comedy show, now celebrating its record-breaking 25th year. This award winning, punchline driven show is crafted by a team of over 30 writers and performed by some of the UK’s finest comedic talent. With its unique blend of satirical comedy, local references, and toe-tapping tunes, The Treason Show is a must-see with more laughs per show than an evening of stand-up.

"A most impressive parade of topical songs and sketches, brilliantly written and exquisitely performed" – Chortle.com

With the news as febrile as ever, there’s never been a better time for satire. They say laughter is the best medicine, and where better to get a prescription than a gag-packed, topical comedy show.

BAFTA Nominated Artists in 2004, nominated for Best Television Sketch Comedy Show at 2021’s UK Comedy Awards and winners of Best Entertainment Comedy Show at the South East UK Enterprise Awards in 2022, this hilarious and superbly silly satire show has become a local institution.

The In Crowd: Mod Fashion & Style 1958-66 - courtsey of Brighton Museums

EXPLORE ICONIC THE ICONIC MOD LOOK AT BRIGHTON MUSEUM

Until Sun 4 Jan 2026

Brighton Museum & Art Gallery,  Royal Pavilion Gardens, Brighton BN1 1EE

Exploring one of the most stylish and revolutionary eras in British culture, Brighton Museum & Art Gallery is hosting a landmark new exhibition; The In Crowd: Mod Fashion & Style 1958-66.

Bringing to life the bold style, youthful rebellion, and cultural impact that defined a generation, the exhibition features over 35 dressed mannequins showcasing rare and early Mod outfits drawn from the renowned collection of Roger K. Burton, an expert in vintage fashion. The one-of-a-kind pieces will give visitors an up-close look at the revolutionary style that challenged the norms of the time.

With over 50 years of experience, curator Roger K Burton has styled films including Quadrophenia and Absolute Beginners and worked with cultural icons such as David Bowie, The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.

The exhibition showcases the influential designers who defined the Mod movement with sleek miniskirts, sharp suits, and crisp button-down shirts that embodied its forward-thinking spirit. While the Mod era had faded by the late 1960s, its legacy lived on. Mods crafted a distinctly British lifestyle in its sharpness and sophistication, yet boldly modern in its perspective. Their influence extended far beyond Britain, shaping fashion around the world.

WALK FROM THE CAPITAL TO THE COAST IN AID OF WINSTON’S WISH

Sat 24 – Sun 25 May

London to Brighton

As May marks National Walking Month, the UK’s first children and young people’s bereavement charity, Winston’s Wish is calling upon people to take on a sponsored walking challenge to raise awareness of its services.

Established in 1992, Winston’s Wish supports children and young people throughout the UK up to the age of 25 when their worlds are turned upside down by grief, as well as the adults around them.

On the Bank Holiday weekend, the charity is calling upon local tenacious trekkers and novice navigators alike to take on the London to Brighton Ultra challenge and raise awareness and money for Winston’s Wish.

As with all the Ultra Challenges, the event is iconic for its community spirit and added extras, including hospitality and treats along the way, contributing to an uplifting atmosphere amid a beautiful environment.

Last year, Winston’s Wish supported more than 82,000 bereaved children and young people. The charity supports young people when somebody important to them dies and offers support pre and post-bereavement, as well as offering advice and education to parents, carers, teachers or other professionals such as teachers when a child or young adult is grieving.

The charity champions instant bereavement support, bypassing long wait lists for support. Young people or the adults around them can reach out to Winston’s Wish themselves to speak to a bereavement support worker.

For more information on the challenge or the charity’s work, head to: www.winstonswish.org
