Stand-up comedian, and viral sensation George Lewis today announces an extension of his hugely successful tour, The Best Thing You’ll Ever Do.
Kicking back off in Chipping Norton next month, and including visits to Canterbury’s Marlowe on Thu 2 Oct Theatre and London’s Hackney Empire on Wed 15 Oct, George will travel the country before finally concluding the tour in Salford in November.
After 18 months on the road, this really is the last chance to see this smash hit show. The tour has expanded into a mammoth 120-date run. Throughout the tour, he delivers his hilarious insights on modern life, parenting, and the daily struggles of adulthood to audiences across the UK.
Described as 'the funniest dad on Instagram', George has amassed hundreds of millions of views with his side-splitting online sketches covering everything from the trials of air fryers to the agony of family jigsaw sessions. But this show isn’t just about parenting - George has done loads this year. He’s bought a new hoover, watched some more Netflix, and, well... loads.
In between #makingmemories with his kids, George has appeared on The Stand Up Sketch Show (ITV2) and Comedy Central Live, penned a best-selling book Don’t Panic! All the Stuff the Expectant Dad Needs to Know, became an ambassador for the charity Autistica, and supported some of the biggest names in UK comedy, including Romesh Ranganathan, Tom Allen, Russell Kane, and Josh Widdicombe on their tours.
Having already established himself on the comedy circuit and in writer’s rooms, it was two years ago that saw George kickstart his rapid rise to prominence as he shared his first video online. George’s honest, relatable and brilliantly funny style has earned him a dedicated following both online and on stage. Stockport native, George has achieved remarkable success on social media with over half a million followers and over 300 million views on Instagram alone. George has also appeared on the BBC New Talent Hotlist, Comedy Central Live, was the winner of Celebrity Mastermind (specialist subject: Oasis), hosted Top Gear Extra Gear, and has also written for some of the biggest shows on TV and radio, including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Have I Got News for You, Hypothetical, and BBC Radio 4.
