Blending music, food, comedy, talks, and cultural workshops, Brighton Italian Festival promises a rich programme when it makes its debut on Thu 2 – Fri 24 October 2025.

The new festival promises to celebrate the best of Italian culture, while shining a spotlight on the many Italians who have made the city their home.

Festival Director William Ranieri said: “This is not about being the biggest festival - it’s about being the most authentic, original and fun. We want to create something that really connects Brighton with Italy, and gives people experiences they’ll remember.”

The programme opens on Thu 2 Oct with a special evening at the Brighton i360, featuring Marco Montemagno, one of Italy’s most influential digital entrepreneurs and communicators. Known for his sharp insights on technology, innovation and the future of work, Montemagno makes a rare UK appearance in what promises to be an inspiring start to the festival.

On Sat 4 Oct, a Launch Event at Horatio Bar on Brighton Palace Pier will showcase live music from Italian-Brightonian bands, setting the tone for a month of entertainment. The following day, scooters take centre stage with The Italian Scooter Job — a Vespa charity ride through the city inspired by The Italian Job, ending at the legendary Quadrophenia Alley.

Other highlights include La Notte Italiana (Fri 10 Oct), a night of DJs, Negroni cocktails and prizes for the most stylish Italian look; an Italian Techno Night (Fri 17 Oct) led by Brighton-based Italian DJs; a Comedy Night at Komedia (Mon 20 Oct) featuring Italian and British comedians; and an evocative Opera in the Paganini Room (Thu 24 Oct), held in the very room where the virtuoso violinist once performed.

Alongside the headline events, festival-goers can take part in pizza and pasta-making workshops, wine tastings, language meetups and family-friendly activities, bringing the flavours and spirit of Italy to the heart of Brighton.

Ranieri added: “We’re starting small, staying real, and building a tradition the city can be proud of. Independent and community-driven, the Brighton Italian Festival is made with passion — and we hope it will grow year after year.”

Brighton Italian Festival comes to venues across Brighton & Hove on Thu 2 – Fri 24 Oct 2025. Find more information and tickets at: www.brightonitalianfestival.com
